Maritza Cayo is a Brooklyn-based independent producer, actor, writer, and director. Over the past couple of years, she has produced short and feature-length films, branded content, social originals, and live events. She has been an on-screen host and voice actor for some of Conde Nast’s original social series and she recently made her film debut in the 2024 Cannes official selection short film Three.
Maritza is a Haitian-American artist who is drawn to stories that feature and highlight women, the Caribbean diaspora, and the LGBTQ community. Through her work, she explores how her interests converge to push the boundaries of traditional storytelling and imagine new futures. She aims to share urgent, unique, and genre-defying narratives.
Maritza hopes that with NouLa Productions, from development to distribution, she can build a community where stores can be created and supported by people from all different walks of life.
